Step 1
In a large bowl gently mix together the ground sirloin, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs.
Step 2
Form the meat mixture into 4 balls, then flatten into 1-inch thick patties.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 4
Add the hamburger patties to the skillet. Fry the patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
Step 5
Add the onions and mushrooms to the skillet and sprinkle the flour over them. Stir the flour in, cooking for one minute.
Step 6
Slowly pour the beef broth into the skillet using a wooden spoon to scrape the brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
Step 7
Reduce heat to simmer and cook the gravy for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
Step 8
Add the patties back to the pan, simmer for 10 more minutes until beef is cooked through and gravy is thickened.
