This is the perfect monkey bread recipe. My family loved it. I made a butter, powdered sugar and milk glaze to drizzle over. It is sweet but it is supposed to be sweet. I will make again and again.

Sorry, Taste of Home, but bread is bread and biscuits are biscuits.   This may be a great recipe and taste great etc. etc. but that does not make it "bread".      Call it what it is, "Monkey Biscuits", or ???? but calling it "bread" is just silly.      There is nothing wrong with Cinnamon Bisquits.......why are you afraid to call it that?

I didn't read ahead about how many tubes of biscuits I would need, so I had to modify this accordingly! I made a quarter of the original recipe and in place of the fluted tube pan, I used a doughnut pan...which resulted in 11 monkey bread doughnuts for the one tube of biscuits I had.  My kids loved it - and I loved the individual portions!

I also used homemade buttermilk biscuits in this recipe.  The monkey bread turned out perfectly, pulled apart beautifully, and the butter and brown sugar created a great caramel crust on the soft cinnamon sugar bread.

Delicious! I like to microwave a container of cream cheese frosting to drizzle over the rolls when they come out of the oven.

I cut this recipe in half to see if I would like it.  I did make a few adjustments: added a sprinkle of nutmeg to the cinnamon/sugar mix and added a layer of chopped pecans in the center. I baked it in a 9x5 loaf pan for about 22 min. turned out great!

I was searching for a monkey bread recipe that didn't use a packaged pudding mix and I found this. The cinnamon and sugar mixture along with the butter and brown sugar give it a great flavor. I used a homemade buttermilk bread recipe instead of the refrigerated buttermilk biscuits.

I wanted to try this, but I had only one tube of rolls.  I made this with one tube and baked it in a loaf pan.  I did not use the brown sugar topping, though.  The bread was good, but next time I will try a very light topping of the brown sugar and cinnamon.  This is a good recipe.

Delicious, can't wait to make with my grandchildren next time they are here!

I am so excited to serve this tonight. I love Monkey Bread, but I've never made it before, so I was so nervous that it would all stick to my pan and be a big disaster. I bought 1 lb. containers and used two of them...hoping it was enough. It came out just beautifully. 2 lb. is the perfect amount. Thank you so much.

This is a great recipe to cook with kids. My 9 and 5 year old son and daughter had a great time. I quartered the biscuits, one child rolled dough balls while the other rolled them in the cinnamon sugar mixture, and the finished product is really good. Great with cocoa or a cup of coffee.

Easy and delicious.  We make it all the time when we have guests.  My nephew asks for it every time he visits.  Sometimes we sprinkle chopped pecans on each layer of dough balls.

I made this for breakfast on summer vacation for my son and his friends - they still talk about it and have requested it regularly.  Very easy to do, and I like the suggestion of adding nutmeg.

Our three kids have made this recipe every Christmas Eve for years and it's always a big hit at the family Christmas Eve party.  It goes quickly!

I made this just as a simple easy surprise for dessert one night.  Definitely would make it again, maybe with some walnuts or some kind of nuts to offset the sweet.

LOVED IT! Even made it for the first day of school breakfast because it is such a favorite!
