Export 6 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Generously butter or grease a 1o inch round pan or oven safe skillet and preheat the oven to 375°F. Set the pan aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl mix together the sugar, cornstarch, spices and salt.
Step 3
Peel and core the apples before slicing into thin 1/8 – 1/4″ slices. Add the apples to sugar mixture and toss to combine. You can use two big wooden spoons to do this, but I like to use my hands instead. Add the apples to the buttered dish and arrange in an even layer.
Step 4
Place in the oven for 20 minutes to prebake before you put the cinnamon rolls on. This will help the cinnamon rolls not get soggy.
Step 5
Arrange the cinnamon rolls over the apple mixture and place back in the oven. Bake at 375°F for 25 more minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and the apple layer is bubbling. Take out of the oven.
Step 6
Take the icing from the cinnamon roll can and drizzle or spoon it over the cinnamon rolls. Serve hot!
