A squeeze of comeback sauce can reinvent a tired turkey sandwich into an exciting new lunch entrée.

Comeback Sauce

mayonnaise

chili sauce

ketchup

lemon juice

smoked paprika

Worcestershire sauce

hot sauce

salt

garlic powder

onion powder

dry mustard

black pepper

Stir together mayonnaise, chili sauce, ketchup, lemon juice, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, dry mustard, and pepper. Cover and chill 30 minutes before serving. Refrigerate 1 week.


I believe the "chili sauce" refers to a brand like Heinz found near ketchup and condiments isle. Its basically a spicy er ketchup because it has chili powder among other ingredients that regular ketchup does not have. Further down the recipe ingredient list it calls for 1 teaspoon hot sauce which siracha could be used for.

To Bill's comment about chili sauce:While 1/4 cup of siracha maybe too much heat for your taste, siracha is nonetheless "chili" sauce.  You can always scale back to 1 or 2 tablespoons of siracha, or perhaps you choose chili powder (to your liking) instead.  Enjoy &amp; Happy New Year.

Chili sauce isn't the same as siracha, so which is it? I would think 1/4 cup of siracha would take it right on past spicy

This is the sauce I tried to identify at a diner in Pensacola. I loved it there, but I couldn't put my finger on the ingredients. This is it, and it's fabulous.  Way better than catsup on fries or onion rings, the name pretty much says it all.  I'll come back to this forever.
