Step 1
In the bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl if using an electric hand mixer, cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugars for 2-3 minutes.
Step 2
Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, beat until well-combined, stopping once to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.

In a separate, medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
Step 4
With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Make sure to stop to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.

Add broken Oreos and mini chocolate chips and use a spatula to stir them in until incorporated.
Step 6
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare two cookie sheets by covering them with parchment paper.
Step 8
Remove cookie dough from the fridge and drop 1 ½ tablespoon-sized scoops of cookie dough onto the baking sheets, spacing cookies at least 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies just begin to turn golden brown around the edges.

Right after you remove them from the oven, press a few additional chocolate chips into all the cookies. They will look nicer.

Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
