Put all ingredients in a bag or container to be used in the backcountry. See meal prep tip.

Add 4 oz (120 mL) boiling water to the bag or container. Additional water may be added to reach the desired consistency.

Stir to mix well.
Step 4
Let stand for approximately 10 minutes to allow the corn to rehydrate fully. When rehydrated, the chowder should be a creamy consistency.
