Yaya April 29, 2020 at 10:25 am Hi i wanna ask a question, ive been using the ordinary salicylic acid fro my acne and pores but it seems do nothing on my skin. What should i do? Should i try other brands or something is wrong with my skin?Reply Simone Sydel April 29, 2020 at 10:53 am Hi Yaya and thanks for reaching out!Which salicylic acid product by The Ordinary are you currently using? Also, if that doesn’t seem to be working for you, perhaps you can try Paula’s Choice Anti Redness Exfoliating Solution with 2% Salicylic Acid. I’ve seen great results and an incredible improvement in my acne with this product.I hope that helps Reply Hiba November 13, 2020 at 10:10 pm I’m glad i read your review, i have same acne prone combination skin . after everyone raving about it i tried it and didn’t like its tackiness and that sticky feeling. Additionally everything that i applied after just sat on my skin as if this essence was too thick and blocked all other products from sinking in. And dang i noticed large pores too right after first use. This essence is not for me. I’ll pass too. I might just return it and spend my bucks on something that agrees with my skin.Would you recommend any other essence that worked for you and is around the same price point.Hoping to hear from you soon. Thanks.Reply Simone Sydel November 14, 2020 at 8:05 am Hi Hiba and thanks for reaching out!Yeah, products don’t work the same for everyone and no matter how good they are, chances are some skins won’t like it. If I were you, I would much rather stick to serums instead of essences and try to keep my skincare routine minimal. Opt for products that work for you such as hyaluronic acid or niacinamide serums instead of adding extra steps into your routine.Reply Yana January 5, 2021 at 2:45 am I normally use hyaluronic acid after washing my face, then vitamin c toner w/ferulic acid and then vitamin c serum w/ferulic acid. I just received my snail serum and want to know if I still do my normal morning routine and if I should be using hyaluronic acid w/it. Also use retinol for night.Reply Simone Sydel January 5, 2021 at 1:46 pm Hi Yana and thanks for reaching out!You have a great skincare routine and since the snail mucin essence doesn’t contain any strong actives – you may very well incorporate it before or after the hyaluronic acid Reply
