Step 1
Put all ingredients in a large pot and bring to boil, stirring often.
Step 2
Reduce heat and simmer for 20-40 minutes, stirring often, or until your sauce reaches desired consistency.
Step 3
Ladle BBQ sauce into hot, sterile jars (half pint or pint), leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
Step 4
Wipe rims clean with a damp cloth. Put lids on jars and bands FINGERTIGHT ONLY. Do not overtighten.
Step 5
Place jars in prepared pot with a rack on the bottom, and simmering (not boiling) water that will cover the jar by at least 2 inches when all are submerged.
Step 6
Place lid on pot and let the water reach a rolling boil. Boil for 20 minutes (adjust times for your elevation based on chart below)
Step 7
Turn off heat and let sit for 5 minutes.
Step 8
Carefully remove jars and place them on a towel on your counter. Let sit overnight or until completely cooled.
