Step 1

Combine the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a small dish. Mix until the ingredients are uniformly distributed.

Step 2

Whisk together the egg and milk in a separate dish.

Step 3

Dip the cube steak in the egg mixture, fully covering both sides.

Step 4

Coat both sides of the steak with the flour mixture.

Step 5

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil.

Cook for 45 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through, after the oil is heated.

When done, transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain the excess oil.
