Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan.
Step 2
Sift together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
Step 3
Cut in shortening to flour mixture and add cranberries.
Step 4
In a separate bowl beat egg and orange juice. Add to dry ingredients.
Step 5
Stir until moist. Pour into greased pan.
Step 6
Bake for 50-55 minutes.
