Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Step 2

Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

Step 3

Drain and set aside.

Step 4

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add sliced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté mushrooms for 3 minutes.

Add asparagus and cook for another 2 minutes until tender-crisp.
