I threw this crispy BBQ chicken recipe together one night when I had two chicken breasts to use up. After adding french-fried onions and baked-on barbecue sauce, I was thrilled with how moist and tasty it turned out. My husband was, too! —Jane Holey, Clayton, Michigan

We had this delicious chicken tonight and cleaned our plates. I halved it for the two of us and baked it at 400º. So quick, easy, and delicious. We will be having this recipe again.

The first time I made this it was....meh. The second time it was cooked/smoked in our pellet grill & it was fabulous!!

Easy and tasty, but I recommend only putting the coating on the top.

taste good. but the sauce doesn't make it bbq. cooked in a bbq pit slowly than it bbq

I made this exactly like the recipe.Note** I usually love TOH recipes, however, this did not turn out well for me. The chicken filets were not tender & there was too much onion mixture. My  husband thought the chicken was tough & his piece seemed that way. I do not know what was wrong..sadly- I won't make this again.  Note to people who submit their recipes....keep on submitting. It takes courage plus talent --some of the reviews are very insulting to the submitters.  Shame on them!  I love TOH recipe help and I have learned so much from the reviews and the submitters of the recipes.

I rated this 3 stars because my husband liked it.  My children and I did not.  The tastes together were weird to me..maybe because i used honey bbq sauce??  It also took an hour to cook..but they were big breasts...since I usually eat the leftovers being a stay at home mom, I prob. won' t make it again.

I honestly cannot believe how amazing this recipe is! So simple, inexpensive and quick! The French-fried onions and barbecue sauce create a carmelized sauce that is unique and tasty! I will definitely make this again.

The chicken turned out really moist!  I breaded the chicken on both sides and cooked as directed. Will make again!

I made recipe exactly how it said. It was okay but nothing special about it. Probably will not make again, it's just average.

Have no idea how this can be called "healthy".  BBQ sauce is loaded with sugar, French fried onion rings speaks for itself and cheese.

Very easy for this non cooker to do. Used a sweet honey barbecue sauce with all other listed ingredients. Chicken was very tender, wife absolutely loved it. This one is definitely going into my dinner rotation. Can't wait to try other sauces / toppings!

Made this with chicken tenderloins and Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet & Spicy BBQ.  Family loved it!  Great for a quick dinner.

This is a great recipe for anyone on a low-fat diet.  Tastes great and something different from the usual chicken recipes you find.  My husband loves this and I will be making it often!

Awesome recipe! My grandma got me hooked on using french-fried onions to bread chicken, but the bbq sauce makes it even better! Just make sure you use GOOD Parmesan cheese and bbq sauce. If you don't, it won't taste right.

I'm very glad I decided to give this a try. I was very skeptical and  didn't think it would turn out to well but it turned out great and tastes amazing. I am very impressed!
