Step 1

Begin by preparing the mayo-mustard sauce. In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, mustard, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

Next, prepare the bread by trimming off the ends and cutting the loaf in half to make two sandwiches. Split each half evenly to make the tops and bottoms of the sandwiches.

Generously spread the mayo-mustard sauce on both sides of each half.

On the bottom half of each sandwich, layer the ingredients in the following order: 2 slices of Swiss cheese, 3 slices of ham, the heated pulled pork, thinly sliced pickles, and 2 more slices of Swiss cheese. Place the top halves of the bread on the sandwiches.

Step 5

Melt the butter in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and press them down with a heavy weight, such as another skillet or foil-wrapped bricks.

Step 6

Toast the sandwiches until the bread is crispy and the filling is heated through, for approximately 3 to 4 minutes per side.

Step 7

Once cooked, remove the sandwiches from the skillet and serve hot. Enjoy!
