Ingredients: 24 cherry tomatoes; 3 ounces cream cheese, softened; 2 tablespoons mayonnaise; 1/4 cup finely chopped peeled cucumber; 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion; 2 teaspoons minced fresh dill

So yummy! Everyone loved them, and they disappeared. The bigger ones were easier to scoop out, and I also did a small slice of the bottom so they would sit flat. Definitely making these again, and I feel like you could play around with the flavors a little bit, maybe a tex-mex version, could put an almond sliver on top or an olive, etc. Really fun!

I made these and they are delicious and very impressive on a platter! Your guests will love them! I couldn’t find any cherry tomatoes where I shop so I purchased the brand ‘one sweet tomato’ . They are smaller than a cherry tomato but much more rounder than a grape or cherub tomato. The rounded shape is what’s needed. So, Here’s a trick to keep them from rolling everywhere- if you flip the tomato over and place the stem hole side of the tomato down on the plate, This seemed to give it more stability. I also used a tomato corer as other reviews for this recipe said it was helpful, and it truly was! I also piped the filling as the other reviews found it helpful, and it was. I filled them all in about 2 min. I made these apps the night before my  event and they weren’t soggy. In fact the filling flavors had a chance to mingle.

If you can find small campari tomatoes, they are just right for stuffed tomatoes.  A bit bigger than the cherries, easier to core and stuff, and you can take a thin slice off the bottom and they stand right up.  Very tasty recipe!

I use an 1/8 or 1/4 tsp.metal measuring spoon (depending on the size of the tomato) to scoop out the seeds of the Cherry Tomatoes.  Also I use a metal 1/4 tsp. measuring spoon for removing the stems of Strawberries.  Super Easy, Super Fast.

I took them to a party and people loved them. I would recommend using a mini-processor to chop the cucumber. I shopped them by hand, but the pieces were still too big and got stuck in my largest frosting-tube tip.

Made these for a ladies luncheon & they were gone in  jiffy.  I shred some lettuce or spinach for the serving plate & put the filled tomatoes on that with a toothpick stuck in them - easy to grab & they don't roll around so much.  Also I added a little chopped garlic or used the liquid from the chopped garlic jar as more flavoring.  The herb & chive cream cheese someone else suggested is a good idea too.

I've made these in the past and they are very pretty, light & tasty!  A little bit "putzy" having to core the insides of the cherry toms, but a quick way to do it is if you use one of those little strawberry coring tools.   If you're not sure what that is, it's like a very small (1/2 tsp. size) spoon with serrated edges that you use to scoop out the stem & core of the strawberries.  Works great on the cherry toms.  I also make a small slice off the bottom of each tomato so they sit flat on the platter....I also do this with deviled eggs or anything else that might otherwise roll or slide around on your serving platter, esp. if you're traveling somewhere with it!  As others suggested, use a baggie or piping tool to fill the tomatoes.  This is a great recipe for all of those garden fresh cherry tomatoes....coming up right around the corner!

these were sooo good!  I  added a little garlic powder.  Took the advice and put the mixture in a zip lock bag and cut corner.  I thought 24 would be too many - but they went fast!

This is an easy recipe. I didn't have fresh dill so I used dried dill & added it to the diced cucumbers - turned out fine.  You do need to squeeze out any excess moisture from the cucumbers.  The only suggestion would be to reduce the amount of mayo.  I tasted it before adding the mayo and loved the taste.  After the mayo was added I didn't get quite as strong a dill/cucumber taste.  Will be making this again.  Also would make a great dip for veggies or chips.

Cream cheese and pineapple would be nice, or Philadelphia with sweet chilli. You can mix the tomato seeds in with the filling and just put less mayo in. Or save them for macaroni cheese or a pizza sauce. If you don't want to do that, just throw them in a pot for home grown tomatoes! To make things easier, I would use slightly bigger tomatoes and cut them in half. Would also work with 2 inch pieces of  celery.

I am probably the only one who did not like these at all, but I found them incredibly difficult to prepare.  The tomatoes kept rolling over, would not stay upright. Slicing a small bit off the bottom didn't work, they became watery.  Way too much work preparing these and they were not a hit. I had to throw them away, and I hate to waste food.

I have always loved the refreshing combination of tomatoes and cucumbers, so this one is a winner.I'd like to address those concerned about the waste of time this recipe.1) Use a "Tomato King" to scoop out the tomatoes .... available at Amazon.com.When it comes to "time consuming" prep work, I follow this rule:"If you're not cooking with joy, happiness, and love, then you're not cooking well." - Danny KayeObviously, this is not a dish you're going to rush home from work on any average day and fix for your family; However, it is something that you can make for a special occasion where appetizers are called for. Then, you should be preparing it out of love that you have for the family and friends you are preparing the dish for. That is when the joy and happiness really kicks in for all involved.Life is short, you have to cook, you might as well enjoy it!  -  :-)

I just finished making them. My thoughts. They are messy to make even piping with a zip lock bag but without that method it would be worse. They are tasty, very tasty and I expect they will disappear. Noticing comments that they don't stand up (and they don't!) I put lettuce on my platter with prosciutto wrapped mozzarella sticks like spokes in a wheel. Then I just laid these down with toothpicks in them for the guests' convenience rather than fight with them to stand up. I will mention that I was forced to use grape tomatoes as it is winter and the cherry tomatoes were tiny and barely red. The grapes were much bigger. Oh! AND I found a tomato corer!! Without it these would not have been worth the work. The corer made that job much quicker and easier. So to sum up, the filling is extremely simple to mix. If you have a strawberry or tomato corer and a zip lock assembling them is easy. And they do taste delicious.

Does cream cheese come in 3 oz packages?  I can only find 8 oz packages : (!  Is this a typo in the recipe?

I used herb and chives cream cheese.  Made recipe as is.  Also, add fresh crabmeat to some of them.  Both were excellent.   I will made again many times with and without crabmeat.  May try shrimp next time.

I'll have to try this recipe a 2nd time.  I used a food processor to chop the cucumbers, and it caused the filling to be a bit runny.  Next time I'll hand chop to see if it is any better.

Here's a hint for scooping out the pulp-use a grapefruit spoon-the serrated edge works great-loved these and have made them a couple of times:)

The finished product was quite tasty; one of my guests asked to take the leftovers home with him.  However, note that this is a time-consuming recipe.  Use good-sized cherry tomatoes; I made the mistake of using grape tomatoes (what I had on hand) and although I was able to stuff them, it was a difficult task.

Yummy!  If you lightly salt the cukes after chopping them, then let them sit in a colander for about 1/2 hour, then gently pressing on them most of the water will be removed.  The filling won't be so thin.
