Step 1

Peel the bananas and cut them in half. Insert a popsicle stick or skewer into the cut end of each banana half. Place the bananas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 1 hour, or until firm.

Step 2

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler.

Step 3

Dip each frozen banana half into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to help coat it evenly. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.

Step 4

Before the chocolate sets, roll the chocolate-covered banana in the chopped nuts, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 5

Freeze the bananas for an additional hour, or until the chocolate is set and the bananas are completely frozen.
