Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line cupcake tin with cupcake liners. This recipe makes 24 cupcakes.

Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions. Roughly chop 12 Oreos and add them to the mix.

Place a regular Oreo cookie in the bottom of each cupcake liner. Pour the batter into the cupcake molds and fill to the brim.

Bake for 20 minutes, or according to package instructions. Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Transfer them onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Meanwhile, prepare the frosting. Beat together the softened cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer at medium speed until smooth and fluffy, about 4-5 minutes. Beat in vanilla.

Gradually sift in the powdered sugar. Continue beating until smooth and creamy, about 5 minutes.
Step 7
Finely chop the remaining regular Oreos. Use the food processor for the best results. Using a rubber spatula, gently mix the crushed Oreos into the frosting.

Once completely cooled, frost the cupcakes with the frosting. Garnish each cupcake with a piece of mini-Oreos. Serve and enjoy!
