Ingredients: 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature; 1 cup chopped dill pickles, or more to taste; ¼ cup finely chopped sweet onion; 2 tablespoons pickle juice, or more to taste; 1 teaspoon dried dill weed; ½ teaspoon kosher salt; 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

This was served at our Easter lunch and was devoured. Serve with chips or crackers.

Dill Pickle Dip

(8 ounce) package cream cheese,

dill pickles,

sweet onion

pickle juice,

dill weed

salt

black pepper,

Stir cream cheese in a bowl with a wooden spoon until smooth. Stir in dill pickles, onion, pickle juice, dill weed, salt, and pepper until evenly distributed. Refrigerate before serving, at least 1 hour.


I made this substituting minced onion for chopped onion, I covered slices of deli sliced ham with the dip and rolled them up. Very good for low carb appetizer.

Took this to a family lake gathering this weekend that included several pickle lovers . . . it was a huge hit! I did use fresh dill (triple the amount vs dry) as others had suggested, left out the salt and other than the juice on the cutting board, did not add any additional pickle juice, next time I will add the extra juice per the recipe. It was a refreshing taste and we all liked it best with Triscuit crackers, a definite keeper (even the 19 year old asked for the recipe).

Too salty! Great taste doesn’t need additional salt cut saltiness with Greek yogurt or sour cream!

I made this recipe and loved it!! I took a suggestion from another review and left out the salt (I am not a salt lover) and used approximately 2/3 block of cream cheese and the rest with 1/3 cup Greek yogurt. No one will ever know you used Greek yogurt. It was incredibly creamy and 'the struggle was real' to put in the refrigerator to chill for an hour. Yum!!

Used fresh dill instead of dry. Chopped very finely and increased quantity.  Also added a touch of sour cream for softer consistency.  Topped with a little finely chopped dill. A keeper !

Delicious! We served it with a salty cracker but it would be delicious on cold cucumber slices for a low calorie/carb snack!

Oh my word, best dip for potato chips and veggies!  I have made this many times over the past couple years and it is always a hit!  And I agree with those that say to NOT add the salt. It is better without it.

I substituted my homemade pickled peppers that are medium hot. They made for a delicious and rather zingy dish.

I made it as written, except I substituted 1/2 fresh dill.   I did find it a bit strong for my taste, and a bit watery.  I will reduce the amount of juice next time, and consider substituting some greek yogurt for some of the sour cream.  Yield was a little over 2 cups.  Overall, pretty  good.

I added granulated garlic, (to taste), also add more or less dill weed and pickle juice, as needed.  This dip is  so good, I love making it for get togethers, and I don't usually have any leftovers.

Delicious and easy!  Sadly...no leftovers to take home!  :(

I followed the recipe but topped it with small pieces of fresh dill. It is fantastic. No need to change a single thing.

Haven't actually made this, yet, but I do have a comment, beyond this being a great addition to my poker night spread, and that by using my sugar-free homemade pickles I can make this even more low-carb.Folks who complained about this being too salty may have been using regular table salt, not course kosher cooking salt, which makes a HUGE difference in flavor packing. If using regular salt, cut it by at least half, if not 2/3. Kosher cooking salt is milder than regular table salt, and much less densely packed, which will totally skew your results if you don't adjust for the differences.

My family has been making a variation of this for generations. It’s at every holiday meal. We don’t do the S&amp;P and no dried dill - seems weird.And it tastes better with Rip-L chips. They are sturdier and saltier.And we make 2 containers - one with plain onion, one without.
