Begin this recipe 1 day ahead.
Step 2
Combine all ingredients with 1L (4 cups) boiling water in a pan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, cover with plastic wrap and set aside at room temperature overnight.
Step 3
The next day, strain and pour into two 1.5L (6-cup) sterilised bottles, seal and invert. Store in the fridge until ready to use.
