Step 1

Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 24 cupcakes.

Step 2

Cool cupcakes in pan 10 min.

Step 3

Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

Step 4

Spoon frosting into medium bowl.

Step 5

Add food colouring; mix well.

Step 6

Spread onto cupcakes; top with chocolate eggs.

Step 7

Combine cocoa powder and vanilla.

Step 8

Dip new clean paintbrush or pastry brush into cocoa mixture.

Step 9

Use your fingers to carefully flick the brush to splatter the cupcakes with cocoa mixture.
