Easy Cherry Cake (2 Ways)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 2

Blend the cherries food processor and set aside.

Step 3

Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil and water in a large bowl. Mix in the Jell-o and pureed cherries.

Step 4

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 minutes. Let cool before frosting.

Step 5

Top with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting.

Combine the cake mix, cherry pie filling, sour cream and eggs in a large bowl.

Step 8

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes. Let cool before frosting.

Step 9

Combine the softened butter and cream cheese. Add in the powdered sugar, almond extract and milk until blended. Frost the top of the cake.
