Step 1
Wash the radishes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Trim off the tops and roots.
Step 2
If the radishes are large, you can cut them in half or quarters for more even cooking. If they are small, you can leave them whole.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, toss the radishes with olive oil, ensuring they're well-coated.
Step 4
Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using), mixing until they're evenly seasoned. If you're using fresh herbs, you can add them now as well.
Step 5
While some models may not require it, preheating your air fryer can provide more consistent results. Preheat it to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
Step 6
Arrange the seasoned radishes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren't overcrowded to allow for proper air circulation.
Step 7
Cook at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes. It's a good idea to shake the basket or stir the radishes halfway through the cooking process to ensure even roasting.
Step 8
The radishes should be golden brown on the outside and fork-tender on the inside when done. If you prefer them crispier, you can extend the cooking time by a few minutes.
Step 9
Once roasted to your liking, transfer the radishes to a serving dish. You can garnish with additional fresh herbs or a sprinkle of sea salt if desired.
Step 10
Serve hot as a side dish.
