Ultra rich Easy Vegan Fudge Brownies chock full of chocolate, made in the blender, and healthier than most with applesauce, oat flour, and no added sugar!

Easy Vegan Fudge Brownies

(225 grams) vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips (approximately 1 1/3 cup)

(250 grams) unsweetened applesauce

(30 grams) cacao powder (or cocoa powder)

tsp baking soda

tsp vanilla extract

salt

(60 grams) oat flour

Melt the chocolate either in the microwave or on the stove using a double boiler. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes.

Add all the ingredients to a blender (or you can mix by hand) and blend on medium-low speed until combined. Do not over blend.

Transfer the batter to a baking pan lined with parchment paper (I used this 7.5&#215;5.5&#8243; glass dish).

They will be quite delicate while warm, so cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!

These are the best healthy brownies I’ve had. The texture is perfect and gooey ugh!! and the flavor is so decadent I’m in love. (And I used sugar free chocolate bars!)  I made it all in the bowl I melted the chocolate on so I didn’t lose anything transferring bowls ;) thank you so so much! Made them for a Friday movie night and they were perfect.

Fantastic &amp; so simple ! I used a mixture of banana / apple / milled chia seeds as an alternative to applesauce only, and it was so delicious. Such a great find for V + GF recipe. Thank You Natalie !

I made this with the following changes due to lack of supplies and food allergies in the household.
1c. applesauce
1/4 c. cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 pinches of "real salt" (brand name)
1/2c. black bean flour ( used dried black beans ground to a flour consistency) 
3/4c. of "enjoy life" semi sweet chocolate chips
I was not able to melt the chips down so I just dumped them into the mixture. Put it into miniature paper lined cupcake pan and baked. It was such a hit with me and the children that we will be making them again and again. Thank you for a delicious recipe.

I tried this recipe with Almond Meal because that’s all I had on hand (I thought it would be fine), and it came out like mush. Didn’t cook up at all :( :(

These are absolutely AMAZING! I have tried a lot of vegan &amp; gluten free desserts. These are some of the BEST! Followed the recipe exact except put into little muffing tins to make bite sized &amp; added some pecans. Fabulous!

I just tried this, using rice flour as a substitute and they are amazing!

I just made these and they are so delicious. I will definitely make them again. I love that they aren’t too sweet, but are a bit more sweet than other recipes that are trying to be health conscious. Thanks!

If I use unsweetened cacao paste instead of the vegan chocolate chips it would work? I live in Mexico and I can't get the chocolate chips. I'm thinking to melt it in a double boiler pot with some coconut oil and maple syrup so the consistency will be thinner. What do you think?

Hey I already tried the recipe and trust me this is the first time that something I baked came out well, I want to try this in my muffin try, is it possible?

My adult daughter and I love these brownies.  My daughter has celiac disease, egg, chicken, soy and sunflower allergies.  I make this recipe with Enjoy Life dark chocolate chips as they are soy free.  I tried them with GF all purpose flour, but prefer the oat flour.  Thank you for this simple, delicious recipe.

Absolutely wonderful! Not too sweet, I added half of the baking soda listed, and because I only had 3/4 cup applesauce, I completed the rest with some coconut oil. I stirred by hand. It’s so yummy and “light” (not so sweet and not gummy). Bravo!

Okay. Almost very vegan and gluten brownie recipe either has weird ingredients (sweet potatoes) and taste like s***.  Not this one. Tastes normal (amazing!) and it's fast and easy and the ingredients aren't a mile long or expensive. Miracles can come true.

These are amazing! So easy to make and so delicious! Unbelievable that they are gluten-free and vegan.  I will be making these again and then again.

Perhaps. But I honestly love the texture. After they were done baking, I checked and they were atill a bit wet inside, so I baked them for another 20 minutes. Afterwards it seemed like they still weren't fully baked, but not really wet. Thought that perhaps it was just fudgy. So I let them cool and the next day cut it up and honestly they were amazing. I don't know if I'll ever bake another brownie recipe ever again. My sisters also loved them and my 3 year old nephew stole them from the counter and fought my sister for them. She found him eating three pieces at the same time lol. I gave them the recipe so that they can also make them. I did add ¼ cup of brown sugar but you don't even notice it and also about ¼ cup of soy milk. Perhaps this is the reason for the texture? But like I said, they were amazing.

Made these for the first time last night and boy, were they amazing!  So silky smooth when I took a bite!  I have made countless vegan brownie recipes and this one is definitely on top if I'm not going for a low-fat version.  I also loved how few ingredients were needed.  A sprinkled chopped hazelnuts on top! ~Nina

Natalie, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, your recipes are the BEST! They’re always so nice and easy, super delish, and make a reasonably sized batch — not too large and not too small. 

A chocolate craving hit tonight, so I made this recipe — this time in a silicone brownie pan — let ‘em cool for maybe 10 minutes, (probably closer to 5), carefully spooned two of them out (one for each of us), garnished with a scoop of vegan ice cream and voila, craving satisfied, and we even have leftovers for the next few days. OH SO DELISH!!

I made these brownies with ngl a bit of a skeptical mind, because I've tried soooo many healthy recipies from for brownies and they all honestly just came out bad😂 they were dry and crumbly. But I made these and they are SO GOOD. My dad who is a harsh critic to "healthier" desserts said it was Soo good. And weirdly I like them warm better than cold . When I read that you said it was lighter and cakier warm I thought it would be dry but I WAS VERY WRONG. it shows u know ur standard of good brownies, soo respect. Good job girlfriend. So excited to try more recipies and I gotta subscribe to the newsletter!!!

Also thank you for making this delicious recipie without nut or seed butters, because I can't eat them. Makes me sad *crying inside*bc all ur recipes look SO DELICOUS and alot of them have those butters so I can't make them but I get the obsession totally. Thanks for these onesss

Question-- why do you put so much fat (chocolate) in here? I feel like way less would do just fine.
