Step 1

Chill a large mixing bowl and beaters for an electric mixer (this helps the cream whip more readily). Combine heavy cream, eggnog, and nutmeg in chilled bowl. Beat with electric mixer on medium-low to medium speed until slightly thickened.

Step 2

Increase speed to high and, while beating, gradually add powdered sugar. Continue beating until medium-stiff peaks.

Step 3

Cover and chill until ready to serve.
