Step 1

Mix the flour with the salt, add the butter melted and the water a bit warm and knead for about 8 minutes or until combined. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Dice the onion and the peppers and fry in a pan until softened.

Step 3

Add to the mixture the ground meat and the tomato sauce. Add salt to taste.

Step 4

Divide the dough in two and stretch both halves into the size of the baking tray. Put one of the halves on the baking tray (lined with parchment paper) and fill with the mixture leaving a 1 inch edge.

Step 5

Cover with the other half of the dough, close it by twisting the edges and cut a cross on the top so the steam goes out. Brush it with an egg and bake for 20-30 minutes or until golden at 200ºC.
