Ingredients: Ice; 2 ounces vodka; 2 ounces coffee liqueur; 2 shots espresso (about 2 ounces); 1 ounce simple syrup (see Tip); 6 coffee beans for garnish

This espresso martini is the perfect pick-me-up cocktail, combining vodka with coffee liqueur and a shot of espresso. Use freshly brewed espresso and shake vigorously to give this cocktail a rich foam. If you don't have an espresso maker, you can make this drink with strong brewed coffee.

Espresso Martini

vodka

coffee liqueur

shots espresso (about 2 ounces)

simple syrup (see Tip)

coffee beans

Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso and simple syrup, if using. Cover and shake until chilled. Strain into two cocktail glasses. Garnish with 3 coffee beans placed on the foam of each cocktail, if desired.
