Step 1
Remove steak from refrigerator to bring to room temperature for about 30 minutes prior to cooking. Pat both sides dry with paper towel.

In a small bowl, mix spices, then pat evenly onto the surface of the steak.

In a large non-stick skillet, heat 2 tsp of olive oil over medium-high heat until the oil just about starts to smoke.
Step 4
Add steak to skillet. Sear for 3-4 minutes on each side for a medium rare finish, without moving the steak between flipping it. This allows for a nice crust to form.*

Remove the steak to a cutting board and allow for it to rest for 5-10 minutes. Cut into 1/2 inch slices against the grain of the meat.
