Slice apples into fruit preserver or water treated with lemon juice (2 Tbsp. lemon juice to 2 quarts water), then proceed.
Step 3
Drain well.

Sprinkle with ¼ to ½ cup sugar if desired. (You may also freeze in syrup.)

Place in freezer bags/containers.

Remove air, seal, and label.
