Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F.

Step 2

Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish well with cooking spray.

Step 3

Place the pork chops in a single layer in the baking dish.

Step 4

Dump the sour cream into a large mixing bowl.

Step 5

Add the onion soup mix, gravy mix and thyme leaves to the bowl.

Step 6

Whisk all of the ingredients together well.

Step 7

Spoon the sour cream mixture on top of the pork chops and spread it out evenly to cover all them all.

Step 8

Place the baking dish in the oven and bake the pork chops for 25 minutes.

Step 9

After 25 minutes, remove the dish from the oven and place the slices of provolone cheese on top of the pork chops.

Step 10

Sprinkle the crispy fried onions and thyme leaves on top of the cheese.

Step 11

Return the dish to the oven and bake the pork chops for an additional 20 minutes until the cheese is completely melted and the fried onions are starting to brown.

Step 12

Make sure the pork chops have reached an internal temperature of at least 145F.

Step 13

Leave the dish to sit for 5 minutes after removing it from the oven.
