Frozen Peanut Butter Pie

whipping cream

(8-ounce) package cream cheese,

peanut butter

sugar

vanilla extract

(9-inch) prepared chocolate pie crust

Chocolate Ganache

Garnishes: whipped cream, chopped chocolate-peanut butter candy

Beat whipping cream at medium speed with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.


Combine cream cheese and next 3 ingredients; beat until creamy, stopping to scrape down sides of bowl as needed. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon cream cheese mixture into piecrust. Freeze 1 hour.


Spread Chocolate Ganache over pie. Freeze 2 hours or until firm. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Garnish, if desired.


Easy enough for a 12-yr old to make, and he was so proud when all the adults raved about how delicious it was! It is very rich, so I recommend cutting small slices to start.

Made this pie for Thanksgiving, and everyone loved it! If you love peanut butter and chocolate (like I do), you will love this pie!

I really wanted to love this pie, but I think the combination of the cream cheese and peanut butter just wasn't right for me.  It was best when made as directed and served the same day.  After the remainder of the pie was in the freezer over night, it took a long time to thaw out to serving consistency.

This delicious frozen dessert combines smooth peanut butter with cream cheese and whipped cream, topped on a crisp, chocolate crust.
