Step 1

In a large bowl, combine 1 ½ pounds steak strips with soy sauce, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon hot sauce, and fresh cracked black pepper to taste. Set aside while you cook the potatoes.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Once the butter is melted, add the potato wedges. Cook for about 4 minutes, then stir and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the potato wedges are fork-tender and golden. Remove from the heat and transfer to a plate. Set aside.

Step 3

To the same skillet over medium heat, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, 5 minced cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme, 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary, 1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano, and crushed red chili pepper flakes to taste if using. Arrange the steak strips in one layer in the skillet. Keep the drained steak marinade. Cook the steak strips on each side for 1 minute until browned. Adjust timings depending on how you like your steak cooked.

Step 4

Just before the steak is done, stir in the reserved marinade if you wish and cook for another minute. Add the potato wedges back to the pan and let heat through. Adjust salt and pepper if needed.

Step 5

Remove from the heat and serve garnished with more crushed chili pepper and fresh herbs. Enjoy!
