Step 1
In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until they are well coated.
Step 2
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
Step 3
In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, honey, and red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan with garlic and ginger.
Step 5
Return the cooked chicken to the pan and toss to coat it evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
Step 6
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
Step 7
Serve the General Tso’s Chicken over cooked rice and enjoy!
