Export 4 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Peel the ginger root and pound the root to a pulp.
Step 2
Place in a glass mixing bowl or stainless steel container
Step 3
Bring 6 cups of water to a boil
Step 4
Pour the water over the ginger root and let sit covered in a warm place for one hour
Step 5
Using a cheese cloth and pour the mixture into a large bowl.
Step 6
Squeeze the cheese cloth to extract all the liquid from the ginger root.
Step 7
Add in the citrus juice you are using, the sugar and spices.
Step 8
Mix well and let sit for one more hour.
Step 9
Strain the mixture once more add in enough water to make 1 gallon
Step 10
Refrigerate until chilled and serve cold over ice.
