Step 1

Put a large fry pan or skillet onto stove and heat.

Step 2

Remove from heat and either spray with oil or add a small amount of vegetable oil to pan and return to heat.

Step 3

Add onion and bacon. Stir for 2 minutes without browning the onion or bacon.

Step 4

Add wine and cream and cook on heat until sauce starts to turn a little yellow in colour and has reduced by nearly half.

Step 5

Add parsley or garlic chives to pan.

Step 6

Stir sauce gently with a wooden spoon until it thickens.

Step 7

Mix cooked pasta through sauce and serve while hot.
