For the topping, combine brown sugar and walnuts. Sprinkle over the cake batter. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

For the glaze, combine butter, evaporated milk, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and a teaspoon of vanilla in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is thin, and the sugar dissolved.
