Take the"flop" out of this recipe by partially setting up the jello before folding in the whipped topping. It won't separate. I made orange and it tasted just like a creamsicle!

I get such great compliments everywhere I take this!  I never had an issue with it separating like others but I do follow the directions exactly & I  use the mixer to blend the cream cheese rather than a blender.  I will many times switch the lime jello for lemon jello or orange jello and one is better than the next.  Great easy yummy dish to share!!!

This was good as rwipple stated and mine separated some at the bottom also.  I also used the entire 8 oz of cream cheese. I 'm going to try this again as a pie!

Husband and kiddo love this!! We had the same separation issue. I accidentally picked up a tub of spreadable cream cheese rather than a block at the grocery store one time, and it completely fixed the separation issue!

Mine also separated and I am SO disappointed, I was really looking forward to trying this because it sounded so yummy!  I didn't see the original story, but wondered about the 'flop' - any suggestions to avoid the separation to those of you who had success with this recipe?

This was so light and airy it was like eating a cloud.  However, the second time I made it, it separated and I had clear jello at the bottom.  Although it tasted of the lime it did not look as appealing.  What did I do wrong?

We loved it, the kids especially liked it.  I will definitely make this again!

This was good, a light and refreshing summer desert. Mine also separated at the bottom but I don't recommend attempting to stir it in because then  the consistency really changed. The flavor was good though, a family pleaser, not too rich for my husband and kid friendly.

I made yesterday with sugar-free cherry jello and tonic water as substitutes... I love my microwave BUT to really get the jello to melt and everything else to blend  well together & prevent separating ... try boiling the water and then adding that to the jello to dissolve!  Then mix rest together ... Everything blended together without separating with the exception of the top which was "frothy" because of adding the additional liquid at the end which I did before pouring into container.  This way also eliminates messing up a blender....

jllovett and rwippel if you read the story behind the recipe it says that it separated which is why it was originally called a "flop".  Mine didn't separate but was very light and refreshing.

This was good. Definitely great for children. I followed the recipe as directed, but some of the jello separated and set at the bottom with an almost moose constancy on top.
