Ground Beef Taco Dip

(8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

iceberg lettuce

cheddar cheese

tomatoes,

green pepper, finely chopped

(2-1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained

Easy to make dip and no leftovers!  I flavored both the beef and the sour cream/cream cheese to taste.

Okay, so I didnt make this exactly- but I used up my packet of mandarin orange seasoning with shredded chicken instead, mixed sweet chili sauce to taste with the cream's and also added black beans and chopped mild onion to it

<p>My family has been making this dish for decades and is my all time favorite dish!! I can't believe the recipe has resurfaced after all these years.  The only recommendation is in the layering.  Cheese, meat, peppers & tomatoes, (optional olives) lettuce, cheese, green onions. Make sure to keep covered when not being eaten.</p>

So good and uses plenty of pantry staples!  Easy to make and put together and it was a cleaned out dish!  Will make this again and again!

I made this for my daughter's birthday picnic. It was gone before it left the kitchen counter. Everyone loved it.

Made for New Year's Eve supper. Big hit. Easy to make and very flavourful. Left out the lettuce and added salsa. I added yellow, red and orange bell peppers instead of green. I also used epicure taco seasoning. Definately make again.

Easy and delicious.   I substituted one fresh jalapeno pepper in lieu of a green bell pepper.  Good for a large crowd.

Last night , I made this recipe for my office pot-luck. It was a big hit for my co-workers. Very delicious and very easy to make it. I used hot and spicy taco seasoning envelop to the ground beef mix and for cheese mix, I add mild  taco seasoning envelop and pinch of cayenne pepper.  Thanks for sharing this recipe.........

This was really good and made for a pretty presentation.  Because of the sodium in two packets of taco seasoning mix, I am going to buy low sodium tortilla chips next time or buy low sodium taco seasoning...I found it to be a tad too salty with regular tortilla chips, but my husband thought it was just fine.  lol  It was even good cold the next day!

This wasn't very good at all. Why are people giving it such good reviews?  Too much sour cream... Too sharp tasting.  The only thing that would make it better is if you cut down on the sour cream and topped it with cheese dip instead of cheddar cheese. It needs to be the cheese dip from a block that you can only usually get at Walmart. Don't get that container of already liquid Mexican cheese dip. That's no good.  It needs to be like the kind you get at a Mexican restaurant.
