Step 1
Add ground beef to a bowl and add the pickle juice, French onion packet, black pepper and onion powder. Combine with the meat but do not over mix. Form the beef into large balls, approximately 4 to 6 inches and place on a baking sheet. Let the meat rest on the pan for about 20 minutes.
Step 2
Heat your oven to 375 degrees.
Step 3
Take a heavy glass and push down each of the burgers until the are still rounded but flatter. You spritz the bottom of the glass with non stick spray to prevent it from sticking.
Step 4
Place burgers in the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. All ovens will bake up differently and the thickness of your patty will also matter. Keep and eye on the burgers the first time you make these so you know the timing.
Step 5
Mix your butter with the garlic salt, onion powder and parsley. Mix well.
Step 6
Place a dollop of butter on each patty and bake for another couple of minutes until the butter is melted. Remove from oven.
Step 7
Take your buns and slice them, use a pastry brush to brush some of the butter on the pan onto the top and base of the bun. Heat a skillet and place the buns cut side down to toast them up until the are golden brown. You can skip this step if you wish.
Step 8
Add the patties to the buns, add ketchup and mustard, place the pickle slice so it is slightly sticking out from under the bun, place the lid on. Add two olives to the top of the bun with toothpicks, for eyes.
Step 9
Delight in this spooky and delicious treat.
