Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Oil a 19cm x 29cm slice pan.
Step 2
Cook egg in an oiled medium frying pan over low heat, stirring constantly, until scrambled.

Sift flour and sugar into a medium bowl, then rub in butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in milk and mix to a soft, sticky dough. Lightly knead dough on a floured surface, then roll out to 30cm x 40cm.
Step 4
Spread tomato paste over dough, then sprinkle with ham, top with egg and sprinkle with cheese.
Step 5
Starting from a long side, roll up dough firmly into a sausage shape and trim ends. Cut across into 12 slices. Place in a single layer in prepared pan. Bake 30 minutes or until risen and pale golden. Serve pinwheels warm.
