Step 1

Preheat the oven to 175C/350F.Line a large baking tray with baking paper.Add the flour in one small bowl, the aquafaba in another small bowl and the breading in a third small (deep) bowl.

Step 2

Take one cube of smoked tofu and put it in the bowl of flour. Roll around to have it coated in flour. Put in aquafaba and coat in aquafaba. Finally roll it around the breading so it's fully coated. Place on the baking tray. Repeat with all your tofu cubes. Place them with a little space in-between in the baking tray and make sure they are not on top of one another.

Step 3

When ready, bake in the centre of the oven for 15 minutes or until the breading becomes golden and crisp. Serve hot with the smokey tomato dip on the side.

Step 4

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well until the sugar dissolves. Taste and adjust the seasoning according to your liking. Add more soy sauce if you want it saltier. Add a little more sugar if you want it sweeter. Add a little more liquid smoke if you want it smokier.
