Step 1

Blanch and peel the pistachios: Boil about 2 cups water in a small pot. Add pistachios and blanch for about 30 seconds.Drain and rinse with cold water.Peel off the skins by rubbing them in a kitchen towel.

Step 2

Place pistachios in food processor or blender and process until crumbled.

Step 3

Add protein powder and milk (start with about half) and process until smooth.

Step 4

Optional: Add matcha powder for the bright green color and earthy taste.

Step 5

Blend to get the desired consistency.Add more or less milk as needed to make it thinner or thicker.
