Step 1

Prepare a bundt pan with cooking spray.

Step 2

It's optional to sprinkle nuts over bottom of greased bundt pan (either 10 or 12" pan works).

Step 3

Stir together cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil and rum.

Step 4

Bake at 325 in oven for 1 hour.

Step 5

Cool 10 minutes in pan.

Step 6

Invert onto serving plate and prick top.

Step 7

To make the glaze, melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Step 8

Remove the pan from heat. Stir in the rum.

Step 9

Gently poke holes in the cake with a fork.

Step 10

Pour glaze evenly over top and sides of cake.

Step 11

Allow cake to absorb glaze. Keep doing this until glaze is used up.

Step 12

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
