Export 2 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
If you have dried coconut flesh, soak 1 ¼ cup in 3 cups of hot (but not boiling) water for about 10 minutes. However, if you plan to use fresh coconut, you do not need to soak it in hot water. Instead, use ½ cup of water for the flesh of each coconut.
Step 2
Blend the flesh and water at high speed for a few minutes. Once thick and creamy, use a filter to remove all the solids. Then, instead of throwing it out, you can keep the pulp and use it in other recipes.
Step 3
Store the liquid in the fridge overnight. Then, carefully scoop up the coconut cream that rose to the top. Keep coconut cream in a clean, airtight jar.
