Clean and sanitize all cider making equipment before starting.

Step 2

Pour the Apple juice into the fermenting vessel.

Step 3

Take a hydrometer reading to measure the original gravity and record.

Step 4

Add Campden if using fresh unpasteurized cider if desired.

Step 5

Add yeast nutrient if desired.

Step 6

Pour the yeast into the fermenter.
