Step 1
Line 2 large baking trays (30 x 40 cm) with baking paper. Grease a large bowl with butter and set aside.
Step 2
Place flour, salt, sugar and yeast into mixing bowl and mix 5 sec/speed 8.
Step 3
Add butter and Turbo/1.0 sec/3 times.
Step 4
Add milk and egg and mix 20 sec/speed 4, then knead Dough /4 min. Transfer dough into prepared bowl, cover with a kitchen towel and set aside to prove in a warm place until doubled in size (approx. 2 hours).
Step 5
Transfer reserved dough onto a silicone bread mat or lightly floured work surface. Knock down dough and divide into 8 equal portions, then form each into a sausage shape (approx. 18 cm long).
Step 6
Place rolls onto prepared baking trays, leaving a 1 cm space between each roll. Cover with a kitchen towel and set aside to prove for a further 1 hour.
Step 7
Preheat oven to 220°C.
Step 8
Dust rolls with flour. Bake for 5 mins (220°C). Reduce oven temperature to 200°C, then bake for a further 5-10 minutes (200°C), until golden brown. Transfer onto a wire rack to cool before serving (see Tip).
