Export 2 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Take a sharp knife and poke 4 tiny holes, as small as possible, spaced evenly apart on each sausage link. This will help it from exploding and making a mess while it cooks.
Step 2
Add oil to the pan, enough to lightly coat the bottom, and then add in sausages.
Step 3
Turn heat to medium, let it start sizzling. Wait until it's brown on the bottom side. Once brown, flip sausages over.
Step 4
Pour enough water to cover the bottom of the pan and submerge the sausages in 1/2 cm of water. Put a lid on and let it go until the water evaporates. You know it's done when you hear sizzling.
Step 5
Optional - Turn down the heat to low, and add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and butter to give it a sweet and salty glaze. Keep an eye on it, sugar burns quickly.
Step 6
Give it a final flip, so the top gets a second chance to mop up the juices at the bottom of the pan. Serve right away!
