Choose ripe bananas, then peel the bananas. Line a baking sheet that will fit in your freezer with parchment paper.

Cut each banana either into small chunks (quarters) or slice bananas into ½ inch slices - this will be easier to blend.
Step 3
Spread the banana slices out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 4
Freeze for 2-3 hours, then transfer the banana slices to a freezer bag and freeze overnight.
Step 5
When you're ready to make a smoothie, remove the bananas from the freezer a few minutes before using them to let them soften a bit at room temperature.
Step 6
Store bananas for 3-6 months.
