Step 1
If using soaked beans, soak beans overnight in cold water. Drain beans and then add to inner pot of instant pot.
Step 2
Add in all the remaining ingredients, mix together and place lid on instant pot.
Step 3
Set on high pressure for 40 minutes if beans were soaked, 60 minutes if beans were not soaked.
Step 4
Let pressure release naturally and then serve.
Step 5
Serve with some brown rice, baked sweet potato, corn bread or Hawaiian rolls.
