Step 1
Rinse the rice well before cooking. I like to use a large mesh strainer. Place the strainer over a large bowl and run water over the strainer and rice.Shake the strainer to ensure all of the rice gets rinsed. Monitor the color of the water in the bowl. When the water in the bowl is clear, the rice has been well rinsed.
Step 2
Add the rinsed rice, water, and salt to the Instant Pot.
Step 3
Cook on Manual > High Pressure Cooking for 20 minutes.
Step 4
When the pot indicates it has finished, perform a natural release of steam. Wait until the pin drops on the Instant Pot. This takes 18 minutes for me.
Step 5
Open the pot and stir the rice and serve.
