Step 1
Take a bowl and add salt, pepper, garlic powder and stir well.
Step 2
Rub pork shoulder with 1 tablespoon oil and season with salt mixture on all sides.
Step 3
Press "saute" and add 1 tablespoon oil.
Step 4
Add pork and saute for 4 minutes per side.
Step 5
Press cancel, remove the pork from the Instant Pot and keep aside.
Step 6
Add water to the Instant Pot and scrape bits from the bottom with a spatula.
Step 7
Place a trivet inside the Instant Pot and place the pork on the trivet.
Step 8
Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
Step 9
When cooking time is complete, wait for a natural release for 10 minutes.
Step 10
Do a quick release, serve and enjoy :)
