Pour 3 cups of rice into the Instant Pot inner cooking pot (not the heating element!)

Wash the rice thoroughly. Do this by rinsing in the sink. Make sure not to pour rice down the drain!

Drain the rice. There will be a little bit of water. While clear water is best, your rice water will be a little milky.

Measure 3 cups of water.

Make sure that your silver pan that your rice is in does not have a wet bottom from being in the sink, Wipe it down before placing in the Instant Pot.

Place in the Instant Pot.
